Join the Newport Tree Conservancy for a refreshing walk amongst spring-blooming trees!
Mid-April is a great time to get outside and enjoy the early flowering trees, including flowering cherries, maples, and magnolias. NTC Living Collections Manager Joe Verstandig will show off some of spring’s best flowering woody plants, discuss phenology, and detail seasonal changes in trees that often go unnoticed. Joe will also discuss how to identify a tree by its flower.
This is a family-friendly event during April vacation week.
Parking: Street parking along Spring St @ Pelham St and surrounding area
Meeting Location: Newport Congregational Church, 73 Pelham St
Registration is required and will open on March 22, 2024.
This program involves walking/standing for the duration of the event.
